Hibbert celebrates birthday with teammates at Timberlake concert
Roy Hibbert celebrated his 27th birthday Wednesday night at Justin Timberlake’s show. Just a few songs in, Timberlake thanked the crowd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for their hospitality and then led the 15,000-plus fans in wishing the Big Dog a happy birthday.
“It was great,” Hibbert said of the serenade. “I appreciate Justin doing that, my fiancé setting that up and the entire Pacers organization doing that. I felt a little embarrassed. I don’t mind playing in front that many people but something like that I’m not used to. I felt a little awkward out there, but I’m thankful.
“Seriously, it was surreal. I didn’t think he was going to do it. I’ve been a fan of his for a long time, since *NSYNC and Bye Bye Bye and everything like that.”
The special moment had Hibbert smiling wide, as captured by Rasual Butler:
Other players at the show: David West, Lance Stephenson, Danny Granger, C.J. Watson, Ian Mahinmi, Orlando Johnson, and Rasual Butler.
After the two and a half hour show, players and their significant other, along with Timberlake, hung out in the locker room and ate Hibbert’s birthday cake.

The night before, Timberlake sat at center court and witnessed the Pacers’ 90-84 win over the Miami Heat. Postgame, he shot with Paul George.
