Gerald Green Unavailable Tonight in Phoenix

The Pacers will be without another wing player tonight in Phoenix (10 PM EDT). Gerald Green is dealing with an upper respiratory infection and is out.

With Green out, Sam Young and Orlando Johnson can expect to receive additional court time. The Suns (23-50) have the third-worst record in the NBA, so tonight’s game could have been a great confidence builder for Green with just nine regular-season games left. Danny Granger is already out for the season and will have surgery due to a sore left knee.

In the last seven games, since he returned from being benched, Green has shot 42 percent and is averaing 9 points, and 3.1 rebounds per game. He only played five minutes in Houston and 10 minutes in Dallas so far on the team’s four-game West Coast trip.

Also, here’s an interesting tidbit heading the game, via ESPN’s Marc Stein: When the Pacers and Suns take the court Saturday night, with the Hansbrough brothers and Phoenix’s Morris twins, it’ll be first time in NBA history that both teams have a pair of siblings on their roster.
