Pacers Now Available on FM at 107.5 The Fan

Indiana Pacers games can once again be heard on the FM dial. 1070 The Fan, an ESPN affiliate and the flagship station of the Pacers, will simulcast the majority of Pacers games on their new FM station, 107.5 The Fan. The only exception will come when two games conflict with Butler games.

The move allows more fans across the state to pick up Pacers broadcasts and hear it in FM clarity.

“It’s exciting for us because it’s another signal that we think will reach areas where 1070 (AM) doesn’t,” Mark Boyle, the longtime radio Voice of the Pacers, said. “It provides broader coverage and our broadcasts will sound even more crisp.”

During the day, 1070 The Fan can be heard throughout most of Indiana and into parts of Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio. However at night, the FCC requires AM stations to turn down their signal, resulting in drastically-different coverage.

They’re a 50,000 watt station, but come night time, it decreases to 10,000 watts and only reaches parts of central Indiana. In turn, thousands of fans are unable to listen to Pacers action, including both the pregame and postgame show. No longer now with the addition of 107.5 FM.

“When we switched from WIBC to The Fan we heard from a lot of fans who said they just could NOT pick up the show on the way home,” said Pacers Overtime host Eddie White. “This added FM feature will help make a lot of Pacers fans very, very happy.”

The Fan 1070 AM/107.5 FM is also the flagship station of the Indiana Fever, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana University Football, Butler Basketball, and the IndyCar Series.

Your next chance to hear the Pacers on 107.5 will be on Wednesday, when the Pacers (32-21) host the New York Knicks (32-18) to Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
